I’m just a guy that thinks logic and reason are in short supply in today’s media. I put this podcast together to add a little (a ration). My interests are science, nature, and skepticism.

The goal of Youth Apologetics Training is to publish five to ten minute podcasts and articles organized into classes five days a week. These courses will be posted at Youthapologeticstraing.com, SermonAudio.com and itunes, five days a week for download. The courses will be geared toward fourth to twelfth grade minds organized in various levels of Christian development from ners to the advanced. Each episode will be teaching a couple simple concepts with an emphasis on repetition. The point is not to dazzle them with tons of complicated material but to actually teach them one or two concepts a day. I want your young evangelists to know understand and remember everything I cover. I want this to be a daily family time activity. Talk to your kids about the lessons. The Cosmic Boondocks is a weekly audio podcast dealing with issues concerning science, skepticism, and humanistic values in India. The podcast is conceived, produced and presented by Ajita Kamal, in association with Nirmukta, an organization promoting science and freethought in India.

We here at AmateurSkeptics are not scientists. We are normal people who are trying to look at the world with an evidence-based approach. We strive to have open minds and change our opinions with new evidence. We know that the smartest person can fall for pseudoscience or bad data if they don't have the ss to sift through it. We are not all scientists, and should have to be, but it is important to have the ss to ask the right questions and filter out misleading information. The problem is that we are not in most cases instructed in how to think critically. We are taught that seeing is believing, and this isn't true. Although we are not scientists we do believe that everyone can and should have the ss to analyze information. We should be able to ask good questions, and decide if what we are looking at are good conclusions based on good data. We think that all people should move beyond belief tems and move towards accepting good data as facts. We should be able to change what we accept based on what changing discoveries in science support as true. It is important for us as Skeptics to be more concerned with the procedure of getting data and less on the out come, as it is the process that makes good data. This podcast is about our journey down the winding road of skepticism. Join us as we learn the ss to live in a science based world.
