BluePower has spent eleven years on the net. We have always endeavored to produce the best and most comprehensive music shows possible. Our premise is to make a small contribution in making the world a better place in which all people and nationalities can live in peace and harmony. The Blues is an integral part of all popular music. Recently, we have found that many of our listeners are under twenty years old. They had never heard Muddy Waters or Ike Turner. They're listening now....to the "real" thing. The roots. Thanks to the net....Everything old is new again:) The Blues has no color; creed; race or nationality. Let's make some music together!

Through the use of immersive audio techniques, creative field research and offbeat humor, we explore the history and chemistry behind the foods we take for granted, the cultivation and love that goes into producing them, and the various culinary techniques that allow them to sing on your plate. So much more than your average cooking show, we concentrate less on recipes and more on, well, ingredients! Much like the farm to movement, each episode will take you on the journey of one no edible, from inception to ingestion!

NEVER Penetrate a hampster, don't try to sexually molest a pineapple. Its not a good idea to spoon a Rottweiler. This and more lifesaving advice can be found on the ever so educational DDT. Warning: Most subjects on this podcast make no sense and are not for the sane of heart. If you are easily offended by foul language then this show is probably not for you. If however you get your kicks by swimming naked in a pool of jelly whilst topless nuns serve you lager around the poolside then we like you and will most probably have sex with you sometime in the near future.

Just One More Book is a thrice-weekly podcast in which we take a few minutes out of our morning coffee ritual to discuss one of our many favourite children's books. Through this podcast and its website, we are building a lively, interactive community linking children's book authors, illustrators, readers (parents and children) and publishers. Episodes range in length from 5 to 35minutes and can be played directly from our web page or downloaded to an ipod for listening on the go. Each episode is an informal discussion of one of our family's favourite children's books. We also feature interviews with authors, literacy related discussions or audio reviews submitted by our listeners. This podcast is powered by passion. We have no advertisers or sponsors. Our goal is to link children with great books and help create happy memories for children and the adults that read to them…and to have fun! Welcome to episode 2 of the Harper Perennial Podcast, a show about the life of books. In this episode, we feature two historical books, with two very different approaches to history: Holy Skirts, by Rene Steinke -- a novel based on the life of Baroness Elsa von Freitag-Loringhoven. The Baroness was an outrageous and legendary figure in art and poetry circles in the early 1900's. A woman unafraid to sew tinfoil to her clothing, shave her head, and paint it purple -- long, long before punk rock culture existed. Marcel Duchamp once said of this woman, "She is not a futurist. She is the future." The Children's Blizzard, by David Laskin -- a narrative account of a sweeping disaster: the massive blizzard of January 12, 1888. This book intertwines the stories of dozens of American prairie families who stood against the storm, and a fascinating account of how a blizzard of this magnitude forms. Although this is a tragic story in many ways, it's also an inspiring narrative of ordinary people in the face of extraordinary events.
