I feel like this might be the best photo I've ever taken. It doesn't hurt that the subject (my nephew Cam) is super cute. My favorite thing about Cam right now is that instead of "octopus," he says "apple-pus" for reasons noone knows. And also that, when we played miniature golf last week, every time his ball went in the hole, he would raise up both arms and bellow , "In the hole!" Plus, he would snuggle with me on the couch in the mornings while I drank coffee and he watched "Rescue Heroes."

I swear to God, some day I will post something here besides photos of babies, but come on. Mary's baby is super cute.

Morgan Smiles, originally uploaded by Kim Reed.
We had our annual family picnic Saturday and I got to see some far-flung cousins (and their families) for the first time in too long. This is my cousin's baby girl, Morgan.
For a funny sequence, go here and watch the slideshow. We tried to get one picture of my grandma and all her great-grandchildren, but as you can imagine, with all those kids, it didn't go so well. My favorite part is when my nephew Cam (in the green trunks) made a break for the pool and you can see my sister-in-law sprint after him and when he shows back up in the pictures, he is NOT happy about it.
If all goes according to plan, Charlie will be released from the hospital this week. He'll have to stay near the hospital (they've rented a place) but it sounds like he is doing really well. Yay!

Jim and I went to visit Mary and Terry and Jason today and I took some photos. This was the best one. So very cute, that baby.
