Lots of us travel over the holidays, but today's show features a story with a unique travel angle. Mystic Aquarium recently acquired seven Beluga whales and four Pacific White-sided Dolphins on loan from the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, where their homes are being renovated. They're going to be at Mystic for about nine months, but the story of their trip here and the things they're going to be doing in Mystic is fascinating. Becky Giantonio of Mystic Aquarium tells us all about it on this episide of the Mystic Country Podcast. In fact, many people consider this the very best time of year to visit the area, and if you are a food and wine enthusiast you will absolutely agree. This month marks the Third Annual Food and Wine Festival at Foxwoods Resort, during which more than 50 celebrated chefs will perform their magic over a three-day period beginning September 26th.
