SAM COOPER Born in Richmond, VA, Sam moved to NJ in 1972 at 19. He loved sound early on. 1st grade--he started on drums--& quit when forced to use a practice pad--he wanted to hit a real drum. Grade 4, he started playing trumpet and guitar. With no formal musical training or guidance and encouragement from family or counselors, Sam gained confidence getting gigs without actually looking for them. It had not dawned on him that he could study music-related courses before he dropped out of college his sophomore year or that he'd make money performing or writing songs until he played guitar and sang in bands. He learned other instruments and how to produce/engineer to create music in genres that had influenced him as a baby boomer. PERFORMING--Over the decades, Sam has performed from coast to coast, as far north as ski slopes of New England and as far south as the blue waters of the Carribean, in many styles and genres. As a resident of Nashville, TN, he often performs in songwriter settings there. As a vocalist, guitarist and bass player, Sam started performing professionally in the late 1960's. While still in Richmond, Sam played guitar behind both singer/songwriters Cleve Francis (also an accomplished producer/artist) and the late great Steve Yudowich from 1970 to 1971. After moving to New Jersey at the beginning of 1972, he performed (in chronological order) as a soloist and as a member of bands such as SOUTHBOUND, BONE DRY, TRICK ZIPPER, OPUS I, THE ACME BOOGIE COMPANY (which originally also included long-time friend Vini "Mad Dog" Lopez, who was Bruce Springsteen's drummer from the 60's all the way through his second album on Columbia Records), DEUCE COUPE (with Lisa Martin), VINI LOPEZ AND THE DISCO REJECTS, THE MIGHTY ACCENTS, PHATMAN (featuring Slick Aguilar who is the long-time guitarist for Paul Kantner and Marty Balin, as well as a long-time member of JEFFERSON STARSHIP), MAJOR WOODY & THE SPLINTERS, THE SONNY PREWITT BAND and HEY! BETTY! Currently, he still occasionally performs at various locations in Nashville, TN, where he continues to share the stage with some of the top writers and recording artists.  Full Bio Visit Sam Cooper on   Jericat   FaceBook  MySpace   ReverbNation KEELI Singer ~ Songwriter ~ Entertainer "Age doesn't define our sensuality, sexuality or personality . . . it refines them!" Lacy Jay Syler, freshly turned 14, has notched No. 1 hits on CMG Radio charts with “That’s What Girls Do” and “Troublemaker.” With her debut album, “Livin’ My Life,” produced by T. Jae Christian, just released on CD, Syler, a freshman, proves that she was born to sing country songs. “Music has always been in my family. Since I couldn’t read, they taught me songs by singing them to me, and I was memorizing them when I was 2. It was pretty much mostly country,” said Syler, who lives on a Tennessee  farm. To see this little Lady perform on stage is a real shot in the heart as she just sparkles like a DIAMOND IN THE SUNLITE!  Any performer that will be on any show with Lacy Jay, had beter be on top of their game, because this little ray of sunshine is a pure audience theif! She captures them from the first line of the first song and she's pretty tired before they let her get off stage! They just can't get enough of Lacy.  Visit Lacy J Syler on Nashville Country Music   CDBaby  Universal Sound Records  Trouble Maker on You Tube  I Dream on You Tube  Lacy J Performs for her biggest fans Don Mealer "THE GRAND POOBAH is one of the greatest songwriters and entertainers that I've ever known... and he's yet to be discovered by the rest of the world. Although You may not recognize the name Poobah, his name is well known amongst the Legends"... -Willie Nelson  Don Mealer There is so much that can be said about the man called "PooBah". If you're looking for the typical, cookie-cutter sounds of modern country radio with their meaningless lyrics and over-priced production - you're not going to find it here. PooBah sings what he writes - And what he writes is Real Life. Poobah has not sold out, nor has he played the "Game." In his music, you'll find brutal truth....whether good or bad. His current single "Everybody Sang," was written on the side of the road, after leaving the funeral ceremony of longtime friend,Johnny Cash. One thing is for certain: Poobah is one of our Country's Most Genuine talents, and his music will be around long after he is not.
