3/20/6: Hey Everybody! Sorry about my slackdom as of late, what I can say other than, my bad. The new job situation has been working out really great, so great that I haven't even had time to post show notes for 52. Many apologies where expected. Things have been really picking up lately in the podworld, new networks abound, startups vying for strategic placement, the colorful cast of casters surprising devotees with new stances on old issues. The extended shameless mesh of networking ensues as podcasters are either pimping their shit, producing other peoples content, entrenched in the production of their own material; hobbyists are meeting the greater corporate agenda head on. How will independent content developers deal with both the improvements being made to aggregation and classification as well as stay true to their original goals? It seems that furthered media evolution is the only natural progression. Regulars will know that I'm not in the habit of posting blog-like entries to this site, as time collapses around me and constricts with the rigidity of my own schedule, I felt compelled to put something out in the feed, it is not that my head and my mouth are at a loss for processes and propaganda, it is more that my time for audio production has been stolen by my need for a more progressive vocation. Things should level off towards the middle of this week and a healthy groove shall thus be established. Hope everyone likes/notices the cosmetic updates on the site, decided to go with the uber light grey background for a bit cleaner definition on the right column, I'm happy with it, hope its a bit easier to maneuver. The complete archives have been moved to one page, this should make song/band/content searching much easier (hint, use CTRL+F). I know the page may take a few nanoseconds more to load, but I think its worth it to keep things in one place. I've also put up a PupuPlayer in the right column that will allow for easy streaming of the entire feed so you all can listen without downloading if its easier. Lamaze has been great, all the breathing and massaging on Monday nights makes for a couple hours of interesting adventure, even if its deep inside of a hospital conference room, it makes for more time spent with my lovely wife and that is always a good thing. All in all things have been going great, though I don't always have time to record, produce and upload, I still work a healthy ammount of listening into the schedule, though it is more "on the way to" and "on the way back from..." so I'm maxing out the mobile nature of the medium. I see and hear lots of good things happening, I also see decreased obfuscation on the part of business startups, that honesty is important in providing both users and developers with all the information to work with. Lots and lots of good stuffed planned here at the KAPC for 2006, several very cool guest hosts and more interviews, plenty of good music to go along as well. You might find that the shows become a bit more sporadic in format, but I think the end result will be an overall superior listening experience. Keep the emails and voicemails coming, all your support makes it all worth while, take care friends- JackB.
