  • Read It And Weep
One of the funniest podcasts out there

If you're like me you hate things that suck, and there are a lot of things that suck out there in the world. Thankfully, Read It And Weep is there to dish it out to the crappy pop fiction that deserve it the most. Twilight, The Lost Symbol... The Notebook.... They all had it coming. Listen and enjoy!

What is a podcast?

A podcast is an audio file, usually recorded in MP3 format that is made available for download to your MP3 player such as an Apple iPod. The content is normally a radio show with a host, but can contain any type of content that one can record.

Once you have found a podcast you want to listen to, you can listen to the podcast by streaming it online via our podfeed.net player, download the audio file via our site to your computer or by subscribing to it’s RSS feed using podcast software.

How do I create a podcast?

About.com’s Cory Deitz has written an excellent tutorial on how to create your own podcast. You can read the tutorial here.

I’ve got a podcast, and I want to add it to your podcast directory, how do I do that?

Fill out our Add a Podcast form. Our staff will review your submission (we'll validate the feed and make sure your show is not already listed). Once approved, we will add it to our podcast directory, and send you an email letting you know it’s live for the world to see.

How do I update my podcast?

It's easy to make changes to your podcast. First, make sure you've created a member account and login here:
http://www.podfeed.net/login.asp

Go to your podcast details page, and click on the red link that says "Is this your podcast? Claim It!". Once logged in you can go to the manage account page:
http://www.podfeed.net/myaccount.asp

From here you can scroll down to the Manage Podcasts section - where you can updated and edit your podcasts.

My podcast is suffering from the "Chipmunk Effect" in the podfeed.net player. What's going on?

The podfeed.net player streams audio via the Flash plugin. There is a flaw in the Flash plugin in which content recorded at certain bit rates will play at an increased or decreased speed. We have found that content recorded at 80kbs or higher seems to play properly.
