  • The Dork Night Podcast
    Great Chemistry

Really fun to listen to; the varying hosts have a very good chemistry/rapport, and their interactions are genuinely fun to listen to. The episodes I've listened to have been well structured, and the host has a great grasp of how to keep things moving. I'd check it out if I were you. Audio quality varies due to the teleconference-y recording (which is more than excusable); all the same, a perfectly enjoyable podcast.

Uncommon Radio #8 features in studio guest The Protege (pictured) along with Deto-22 & Roc1 (both from the Phenetiks crew which The Protege is also a part of).  Also in the house is Dirt E. Dutch, owner of Little Ax Records & the voice behind the well known Indie Feed Hip-Hop Podcasts. The Protege breaks down his new album "Untitled Is Hard Enough", which we've played joints from here previously on Uncommon Radio.  He gets into the science of the sound, concepts and building of the record.  We played more joints from it along with other Phenetiks projects and some exclusives. We also had some conversations with the Phenetiks crew about mediocrity in hip-hop and in culture and talked with Dirt E. Dutch about his starting of Little Ax & the roots of Indie Feed Hip-Hop.Plus we ended with The Protege getting loose on the mic with a freestyle session.  We also played a full show worth of music too!  For full playlists of what is spun on Uncommon Radio make sure you sign up for the mailing list at www.uncommonmusic.net so that your not having to hit rewind all the time to see what dope track we just played!
