Welcome to ANOTHER DLite series! This one is titled “Fresh Air”. The goal here is to find FRESH quality house music and push it around the globe as an antidote of sorts.
An antidote to what? Lately it feels like almost anywhere you look there is a Skrillex wannabe just waiting to smash you in the face with some obnoxious electro. Either that or producers are lining up to try and pass off recycled hooks and drops as “new and amazing” tracks. All sounds the same…and the masses are devouring it as if it’s innovative new stuff.
DLite is here with Volume 1 of FRESH AIR to remind you there is still quality house music out there. There are still producers and DJs making tracks that you can groove to and that are so good you can’t resist the pull of the dance floor. I wanted to mix a set that shows there are old school remixes worth moving to and songs from back in the day worth revisiting. Prove that there are tracks with the magic disco touch that we still can’t resist. Shed some light on progressive that still takes you to another more relaxing place.
There are tracks with unique combinations of hip hop, electro, soul and funk that offer a FRESH perspective on electronic music. I’m trying to give you something unique to help you through the overwhelming mass of SAME. Want different? You’ll love this.
Avoid the sheep and go your own way. ROCK these hot tracks:
1. House Repulic “Nuggetz”
2. Cevin Fisher/Seamus Haji “I Love The Music” (Manuel De La Mare & Alex Kenji remix)
3. Richard Grey “Lady” (Federico Scavo remix)
4. Gramophonedzie “Number One”

I really wanted this episode to reflect the true nature of Spring: hope, awakening, energy, a promise of summer adventures to come, longer days, finally feeling the heat of the sun again after a long winter, anticipation and a re-birth.
Digging through the crates of music trying to find a sound that matched ‘that’ feeling it suddenly hit me: Indie/Nu Disco. Hits the sweet spot. Bingo. Funky and soulful, it evokes all of those happy Spring time emotions, gets you up and shakin’ off that winter rust, all while supplying you with that re-invigoration you’ve been CRAVING. SO…melt away the snow, frost, wind and ice. DEFROST with DLite’s Spring Sessions. Let’s Go!

Welcome to the eagerly anticipated Volume 4 of DLite’s Deep Cuts! For this episode we go back to the origins of the Deep House sound. We go back to the 80’s and 90’s to get a taste of the ever present influences of soul, funk and jazz music. Of course the awesome bass lines remain, and the melodies bring a smooth and stylish vibe to this amazing genre. You can always feel the touches of Chicago house, early disco and the loveable 80’s synths. This was one of my favourite mixes to create so I hope you have as much fun listening as I did in creating. Great for your Saturday night warm-up, late night kick back, midweek work session or as your very own Sunday recovery session. Enjoy all the talent and unique sounds assembled in this mix!
1. DJ T ft. Cari Golden “City Life” (Maceo Plex remix)
2. Amine Edge “Yeah”
3. Claptone ft. Jaw “No Eyes”
4. Storm Queen “Look Right Through” (MK Dub III)
5. Andre Crom & James Silk “Perfect Thing”
6. Tapesh & Maximiljan “Be Down”
