Traveling to Lake Los Angeles, we photograph dirt bike enthusiast Gilbert Ruvalcaba. To create a series of action shots and portraits using off-camera flash, we use Pocket Wizard's new Mini TT1 and Flex TT5 to use counter the harsh existing light while maintaining TTL flash metering.
We go to Downtown Los Angeles to photograph author Reyna Grande. On a beautiful overcast day, we use reflected light from natural surfaces and photographic reflectors to control the light to produce a variety of portraits.

The look of a person can be dramatically different based on the result of the light you photograph them in.
