Ephesians 2:10 says that “We are God’s masterpiece.” That means you are not average. You are not ordinary. You are one of a kind. When God created you He went to great lengths to make you exactly the way He wanted. You didn’t just happen to get your personality. You didn’t just accidentally get your nose, your skin color, your gifts or abilities. God designed you the way you are on purpose, for a purpose.
The Apostle Paul said, “We should be to the praise of God’s glory.” In this passage, he’s not talking about giving God praise with our words, although that is important. He’s encouraging us to make our lives a living praise to Him! When you understand your value, and not only who you are but Whose you are, then your very existence will give God praise. When you are secure in who God made you, and you go out each day being your best, your life will give God praise. In other words, driving to work you’re giving God praise. Mowing the lawn you’re giving God praise. Going to the grocery store you’re giving God praise. Walking through the mall you’re giving God praise!
Honor God today by accepting who you are. Make the decision to be the best you can be. Get up every morning and set your mind in the right direction by making positive affirmations over your life: “I’m the apple of God’s eye. I’m His masterpiece. His fingerprints are all over me.”
If you will learn to accept and approve yourself and have a right opinion about who you are then you’re going to rise higher. God is going to pour out His blessings and you will live that life of victory that God has in store!
Wherever you are in life right now, there is something you can be grateful for. Yet, many people have decided that they are not going to be happy until a certain goal is met or until they "have a certain thing or someone."
That's why Joel wants to remind you of the godly principle of living life in contentment and being grateful for where you are— right now. While it's good to have goals, we have to make sure that we are not depending on others or outside situations to fulfill us in order to be happy. Discover how God wants you to be content in whatever situation you find yourself, and how He will use every season for His glory and for our good.
Are you ready to live a more fulfilling, faith-filled, prosperous life? Then let Joel inspire and teach you the importance of having a positive mindset and learn how to stay in control of your mind.
Scripture teaches in Colossians 3:2 to set your mind on the higher things and keep it set. The higher things are the positive things. You see, you control the doorway to your mind. Yet many times, people live on autopilot, letting their thoughts just roam free. But if you want to become everything God has created you to be, you have to choose the right thoughts.
Remember, when you believe, your faith is released for God to do all things!
Are you comfortable enough to play the role God has given you? Many people live their life comparing themselves to others, feeling "less than," inadequate or unhappy with their gifts and talents.
But Joel wants to remind you of the importance of appreciating and accepting the gifts God has already given and entrusted to you. John 3:27 says, "A man must be content to receive the gift which is given him."
As you use your energy to be the best that you can be and enhance what God has given you instead of comparing or competing, you will enjoy your life more, and there will be more satisfaction and fulfillment. If you'll use what you do have, God will breathe on it. His anointing will cause you to accomplish more than you could ever imagine!
Anytime you show honor, you are sowing a seed for blessing and favor in your own life.
In this message, let Joel remind you of the importance of living a life of honor.
Romans 12:10 tells us to "take delight in honoring each other."
As you make the choice to live in integrity with your words and actions toward all people—your loved ones, your co-workers, your friends—and decide to do all you can to lift people up, you are sowing a seed for your future.
Remember, Galatians 6:7 says that "a man's harvest in life will depend entirely on what he sows." If you want to live a blessed, peaceful life, pour out honor and love to those around you!
It's easy to go through life letting everything inside—offended by what somebody said, worried about a problem at work, upset because of a negative report. If we're not careful, these thoughts and worries can poison our spirit.
That's why Joel wants to teach you the principle found in Proverbs 4:23, "Above all else, guard your heart."
While we can't stop negative things from happening, the key is to have walls built up so we don't allow everything to come in. You'll learn if it's not a positive, hopeful, productive, faith-filled thing, then don't dwell on it. You can't live a positive life thinking negative thoughts. Let this message help you stay full of joy and walk in the fullness of life—regardless of what's happening around you!
