After yet another long hiatus, Cara and Sam come back with a show that will make you wish they hadn't. Seriously and very obviously not firing on all cylinders, the formerly dynamic duo attempts to expound on the recent Canada Day festivities at Cara's family's cottage, interesting news tidbits submitted by Sam and Zebulon, the crappiness of the film Alexander despite Angelina and Jared Leto's prettiness, and our never-ending appreciation for our most failthful listeners. Of course, all this is peppered with enough ums, ahs and dead air to drive the most die-hard #2 Show fans running for the hills. Dubbed a "warm-up" episode, and rightfully so as we are painfully out of practice, Sam and Cara conclude by promising to try to put out another, less sucky show sometime in the near future. Cue our fans, choking on their baited breath ...

Not wanting to be accused of podfading, Cara and Sam return after a two month "break" for one last episode of the #2 Show! After explaining our reasons for bringing to an end the phenomena that has been our podcast, we recount our listeners with everything that has kept us busy in the last couple of months - book launch, wedding social, and Cara's 15 minutes of fame. Speaking of 15 minutes of fame, we also discuss our recent visit to the Andy Warhol exhibit at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, as well as the fantastically sweet film, Lars and the Real Girl. A show that definitely does not end our podcasting career with a bang - which should come as no surprise to our loyal listeners - episode 57 is the quintessential #2 Show: bittersweet, almost intelligent, and chock full of personality. Thank you to all of you who have listened throughout our 57 show run, we have truly enjoyed speaking to you and meeting all of you.
Take care!
Cara and Sam

Well, people, the crack cocaine of podcasting is back, ready to glorify your eardrums with another delightful aural installment! In Epsidoe 56, the tireless #2 Show hosts discuss an array of tantalizing subjects, such as ghost marriages in China, Sex Day in Russia (oh, those kinky Russians!), Winnipeg's horrendous street construction-stalled transit system and Sam's attempt to break into the previously estrogen-filled world of aerobics. We also talk about our upcoming wedding day ensembles - including our recently selected marital jewelry - and send out an invite to our Winnipeg-based listeners to attend our social festivities. Finally, Cara talks about her newly minted book, Supernatural Winnipeg: A Guide to a Ghostly Vacation, tells you how you can get your very own copy, and sends out a big, warm, snuggly thumbs up to her fabulously fantastic book designer, Jessica-from-Winnipeg-now-B.C. (see link below). A show worth waiting for (making you scream with antici ... pation), the #2 Show is everything you've always wanted and more.
It is summertime, and for that reason if no other, the #2 Show seems destined to take one long hiatus after another. But, as promised, we have returned with yet another tasty tidbit of an episode for your listening pleasure! The always-energetic hosts spend this installation wittily bantering about such fruitful topics as their recent foray into world culture through a visit to the Brazilian pavillion at Winnipeg's premiere summer festival, Folklorama, how naked dragon boat racing helps fight cancer, attempted necrophilia in Wisconsin, and geeky science tattoos. A courageous return after the dud that was episode 54, the #2 Show is back with a vengeance.

Once again, it has been a while since we've put out a show, but Cara and Sam seem to operate on a bi-weekly basis now and can seemingly do nothing about it. However, to make up for the lag in show production, they introduce a co-host for the first in a long time. Sam's brother, Alex, is in town, and brings a unique perspective to the show. We discuss everything from our day of Scrubs watching, to hunting in the north, to the snow-mobile destruction of Survivor Man. A show to beat all others, make sure you listen with baited breath. Oh yeah, we are also very drunk, and we praise - and chastise - our most faithfull listeners. You won't want to miss it, I promise.
