We are 2 guys who love comics…wait that’s been done. Ok, I am one guy (Chris) who loves comics. With me, is my buddy Brian. Until we read for our first review for this podcast, Brian had never read a comic in his entire life. He enjoys the ideas of comics, or at least some of the characters that he’s grown up with in other media, but here’s where I get him hooked. I started collecting when I heard about the Death of Superman back in 1992, never looked back, and now my collection is about 50 long boxes and a bookshelf full of trades, so, I don’t think we’ll have a shortage of reading material for the next few decades. We’re excited to bring this podcast to you, so please give us a listen and let us know what you think. In each podcast, we will review a selected storyline from no era in particular and an “other media” comic related piece of work. The storylines will mostly be collected storylines, but we won’t rule out issues that need reviewing that haven’t been collected, or perhaps more unfortunately, are currently out of print. The “other media” may be played for laughs (see Batman and Robin) or some great movies or animated works that deserve to be talked about. If you like what you hear, let us know. If you have ideas to improve the show, let us know that too! We’re completely new to this, so hopefully we start out “not too bad” and keep working our way up from there.
